Vacation With Carnival Cruises

by Donny McKinnon

On a Carnival Cruise the key word is fun! The Carnival Line prides themselves on making their cruises the “funniest”! There are twenty three ships in the fleet and Carnival is not only the name, but also the theme of the cruises. Happy days and fun-filled nights for all the guests.

The food is great and the cruise line offers excellent menus for everyone’s dining pleasure. If you are bringing your fussy eater, don’t worry. With so many places to eat on board the ship, no one ever goes hungry! Carnival has it covered. Kids are part of Carnival’s grand plan as a family cruise ship that pampers those kids as much as they pamper you. Dad will feel like a kid when he goes down that water slide and wins at mini golf.

There are three different organized groups to supervise and entertain kids on the Carnival ships. The youngest set, the 2-11 year olds hang out at Camp Carnival. They are well supervised and enjoy many activities provided for them. The kids at Camp Carnival are always having fun and this allows the parents to get a little time in the pool alone.

Maybe your teen is along on this cruise. Maybe it didn’t sound like for when you suggested it, but here you are. For the 12-14 year olds there are activities at Circle C where they can play video games, come to late night movies, and have a ball with Karaoke. The kids get to feel some freedom and do enjoy being with their new pals. You just might get a thank you out of this cruise.

European River Travel: The Basics Explained

by Samson Mandez

Have you been thinking about traveling in Europe? Don’t’ forget to include river travel in the various options that you should look at. Not doing so would be a shame as you would be missing out on one of the most pleasant and surprising ways to discover the continent.

Regardless of whether you will be cruising by yourself, as a couple, or with a group of people, you will find that European river travel has something special, and that every cruise that you will take on the continent’s waterways will be a trip to remember.

On a river trip you have access to inland areas of countries that big ships just can’t get to, and you get to sail along serene waterways, rather than to drive along congested highways. Your comfortable hotel travels with you and you usually moor very centrally in most towns that you will visit.

It is true that ships for European river travel are smaller then ocean liners, but most are very comfortable and quite roomy, and there are several that have a movie rooms and fully equipped restaurants, as well as a dancing area. Plus, of course, viewing areas to look at the lovely landscape around you.

For the preparation, before looking at the specific trip, you should determine the length of the voyage, the area you want to see and also the general level of comfort that you would expect.

Cruise Vacations – Use a Cruise Vacations Travel Agent

by Shinto Pompay

How do you get the best cruise vacations package? Should you go to a travel agent, or should you just purchase a cruise package by yourself? Booking with a cruise specialist is the best way to get the best deal and discount when going on a cruise.

Why are travel agents better than booking by yourself? Typically, travel agents are affiliated with the cruise line and have good relationships with the cruise company. They are the middleman between you and Cruise Company and can negotiate better discounts and prices on your behalf. If you tried to haggle yourself, your efforts would probably be futile.

Travel agents work on commission and do not charge a fee. If they do charge fees, I would suggest going to a different company. These agents want your business and will get you a better price on your cruise so that you can do returning business with them. Also, agents will have all sorts of information at their finger tips and can provide you with information about additional charges, cruise ship information, changes in itinerary, discounts and upgrades.

You can expect your agent to find the best cruise ship for your specific needs. Some agents only have a limited supply of specific cruise lines so make sure that they are not limited and have a higher selection. When you decide to purchase a cruise, make sure that the final price is settled and that the settled price is exactly what you pay. If you do not feel comfortable with the travel agents changes to your itinerary or changes in price, be firm and make sure you do not let anyone intimidate you. Remember, they are on a commission and if you do not book with them, there is an eager agent that will gladly service you.
